This course returns for its third year! Do not miss this two-day introduction and guide to the interpretation of emergency department imaging. It is aimed at new consultants, A&E doctors, emergency nurse practitioners, ST1/2 radiology trainees, reporting radiographers and foundation doctors.
By the end of the course delegates should be able to:
- Identify a range of injuries and medical conditions presented in the emergency setting
- State the clinical indications for using radiographic imaging in the emergency department
- Apply their knowledge to interpret emergency radiographs with an emphasis of review areas
- Recognise normal and abnormal appearances of commonly performed emergency radiographs
- Explain the management of important and common conditions
- List the potential effects of ionising radiation and have an increased awareness of the laws surrounding medical imaging
