The BSGAR Executive Committee would like to invite applications from Junior BSGAR Members for a Conference (previously Travel) Bursary up to the value of £250 to support relevant costs for presenting original scientific work or educational exhibits related to gastrointestinal and abdominal radiology at ESGAR, RSNA and ECR. The bursary can be used for both virtual and live meeting expenses dependent on the conference and circumstances dictated by the post pandemic restrictions and changes.
Notification for each bursary application will be sent via BSGAR forum post once respective abstract acceptance decisions have been made. All up to date information will be available on the BSGAR website.
Applications should be submitted via email to the BSGAR Administrator ([email protected]), and include:
1. The abstract(s)
2. Confirmation of acceptance by the meeting organisers
3. A letter of support from a BSGAR member of over 1 year standing.
Please ensure that the documents you upload can be easily blinded / anonymised for the evaluation process. Use .doc files where possible. If screenshots are being sent as confirmation of abstract acceptance, please provide both an identifiable and a blinded / anonymised version, which should be otherwise identical. Please note that applicants should submit no more than ONE abstract in any one round.
The Bursaries will be competitive, and applications evaluated objectively by a sub-committee. It may be used for registration (travel and accommodation for live meetings) costs that are not met from other sources. Payment will be retrospective and require receipts. Acknowledgement of BSGAR, including use of the BSGAR logo in an acknowledgment slide, is a condition of the Bursary. The successful applicant will be informed shortly after the deadline, and details of the successful applicant will be posted on the website thereafter. Claims should be made within 6 months of the meeting.
The number of bursaries awarded per round will be decided by the BSGAR sub-committee and previous awards and bursaries will be taken into account when scoring subsequent applications.
